Dear friends, we started this little adventure by Mahler's symphonic music with the first delivery of the prepared selection of major works , Gustav Mahler. And we begin this first installment of the Symphony No. 1. Divide the post into four parts. A brief introduction, an index of the interpretations that we want to make a general presentation of the work data, a CD with brief comments to yourself and some covers own or modified / adapted the CD (no covers I like more than the CDs that I own). This sequence is repeated with each of the innings, keep the overall structure and add the corresponding CD (if to have them all together will be uploaded once.) In this case delivery will have three entries, one for each selected disk.
One of the works easier to understand and especially nice to start hearing the music world Mahler and I must say also one of the most beautiful works composed by Mahler. Enormously rich and musical, bellísmas sounds and colorful with a mass orchestra managements rarely seen before, very rhythmic, lively and calm, vital and powerful. A beautiful symphony. Ql beginning of the great Mahler.
three issues that I want to feel really successful among them have been heard. Correspond to the interpretations of:
- Bruno Walter with the Columbia Symphony Orchestra.
- Rafael Kubelik with the Symphony Orchestra of the Bavarian Radio in 1979 (although the CD indicates 1975, possibly corresponding to the same recording released to the market later Audit conducted in 1979). Horenstein
- with the Symphony Orchestra London.

start with Bruno Walter and exceptional recording with the Columbia Symphony Orchestra. A landmark quality phono enormous technical and musical. Wonderful playing of the orchestra, brilliant hues trotted out by Walter, dynamism, vitality, depth. A unique approach to a work largely reflected in their repertoire. Recording of 1961 for exceptional sound.
The cover corresponds to a single disk that I like much more than my CD Odyssey and more the Walter Edition CD from Sony. It is a beautiful album, a different Mahler him to present the "other" disciple, Klemperer, away in thought, life and musical vision and different from the future "apostles" Szell Mahler, Horentein, Bernstein, Kubelik, Schechen, Neumann , etc. A Mahler First enjoy a stunningly beautiful and brilliantly interpreted. Incredible as it sounds and the benefits offered by the Columbia Symphony, verdederamente beautiful and clean.
