Today we leave the first installment of the Third Symphony for the outstanding teacher and superb approach Mitropoulos to this work and particularly the one held on October 30 1960 with the Radio Symphony Orchestra in Cologne two days before his death tested the same work at La Scala in Milan. In the year 1960, Mitropoulos actively participated in various musical celebrations to mark the centenary of the birth of one of his favorite composers and closer to his troubled spirit.

A stunning album, beautiful and intense. Conceptual clarity of a wonderful, fantastic direction, direct, impulsive, emotionally deep. Orchestra and Choir of Cologne bravely meet the guidelines of the master Greek and soak achieve its concept and vision of Mahler. Unparalleled musicianship, fantastic pace, precision instruments, musical freedom, feeling and emotion to the surface. A routes which were followed a few years later, with their own nuances, by his disciple Bernstein and have the pleasure of tasting in the next release.

intervention emphasize the beautiful Lucretia West, deep voice and colorful, beautiful, and really offers a great song, meaning, very deep and emotional.
